EVGENI BOZHANOV gaf zijn eerste concerten met orkest in zijn geboortestad op zijn twaalfde. Hij studeerde bij Boris Bloch
aan de Folkwang-Hochschule für Musik in Essen en daarna bij Georg Friedrich Schenck aan de Robert Schumann Musikhochschule
in Düsseldorf. Al sinds 1996 behaalde hij successen op talrijke wedstrijden, waaronder in 2008 zowel de Eerste Prijs van de
Internationale Casagrandewedstrijd als de Tweede Prijs van het Sviatoslav Richter concours in Moskou. Als finalist van de
Van Cliburn International Piano Competition vorig jaar onderscheidde hij zich daar ook in de interpretatie van het Kwintet van
Franck met het Takács Kwartet. Hij trad onder andere op tijdens het Ravinia Festival (Chicago), het Chopin Festival (Warschau)
en het Festival voor Kamermuziek in Trieste. In 2010 maakte hij bij Fuga Libera een opname met werk van Chopin in coproductie met BNP Paribas Fortis en deed hij een Private Concerts-tournee in binnen-en buitenland met tientallen uitvoeringen.
EVGENI BOZHANOV donne ses premiers concerts avec orchestre dans sa ville natale, à l’âge de 12 ans. Il a étudié avec Boris Bloch
à la Folkwang-Hochschule für Musik de Essen, puis avec Georg Friedrich Schenck à la Robert Schumann Musikhochschule de Düsseldorf.
Lauréat de nombreux concours depuis 1996, il a remporté, en 2008, le 1er Prix du Concours International Alessandro Casagrande
(Terni) et le 2e Prix du Concours Sviatoslav Richter (Moscou). Finaliste du Concours International Van Cliburn l’an dernier,
il s’y est aussi distingué dans l’interprétation du Quintette de Franck avec le Quatuor Takács. Il s’est entre autres produit lors
du Festival Ravinia (Chicago), du Festival Chopin (Varsovie) et du Festival de Musique de Chambre de Trieste. En 2010 il sort un disque d'oeuvres de Chopin chez Fuga Libera, en coproduction avec la banque BNP Paribas Fortis qui en a fait son lauréat 2010-11 pour une tournée internationale de concerts privés.

in Düsseldorf. He has been a laureate of numerous competitions since 1996. In 2008 he won First Prize at the Alessandro
Casagrande International Competition (Terni) and Second Prize at the Sviatoslav Richter International Piano Competition
(Moscow). Last year he was a finalist in the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition and also won praise for his interpretation
of the Franck Quintet with the Takács Quartet. He has performed at the Ravinia Festival (Chicago), the Chopin Festival
(Warsaw), and the Trieste Chamber Music Festival. In 2010 he recorded a CD dedicated to Chopin with Fuga Libera, in coproduction with the bank BNP Paribas Fortis, who chose him as their laureate for 2010-11 for a private concerts series.
