Na zijn studies aan de Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music bij Hitoshi Kobayashi en Katsumi Ueda, tussen 1999 en
2006, ging Takashi Sato studeren bij Arie Vardi aan de Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hannover. Hij gaf reeds talrijke concerten
als solist of in kamermuziekverband, samen met onder anderen Masafumi Hori, Nobuko Yamazaki, Yuzuko Horigome, Ryoichi Fujimori, Shunske Sato, Kyoko Yonemoto en Mayuko Kamio, en werkte ook
met orkesten zoals het Filharmonisch en het Symfonisch Orkest van Tokio, het Kamerorkest van München, de Sydney Symphony, het Central-Aichi Symphony Orchestra, het Century Orchestra Osaka, het Kamerorkest van München, het filharmonisch orkest van Dortmund en het Nationaal Orkest van België. Hij onderscheidde zich op verschillende wedstrijden en behaalde zo de Vierde Prijs van
de Sydney International Piano Competition (2008), de Eerste Prijs van de Schubertwedstrijd in Dortmund (2007) en de Derde Prijs van
het Concours International de Piano Francis Poulenc in Frankrijk (2006). In 2011 won hij zowel de Internationale Mendelssohn pianowedstrijd van Taurisano in Italië en de "Città di Cantù" Internationale pianowedstrijd. Sinds 2007 heeft hij verschillende cd-opnames uitgebracht, met werk van onder meer Schubert en Chopin.

Takashi Sato rejoint Arie Vardi à la Hochschule für Musik und Theater de Hanovre. Il a déjà donné de nombreux récitals en soliste
ou en musique de chambre, avec des partenaires comme Masafumi Hori, Nobuko Yamazaki, Yuzuko Horigome, Ryoichi Fujimori, Shunske Sato, Kyoko Yonemoto et Mayuko Kamio, et a également travaillé avec
des orchestres tels que le Philharmonique et le Symphonique de Tokyo, l’Orchestre de Chambre de Munich, le Philharmonique
de Dortmund et le Symphonique de Sydney. Il s’est distingué dans différents concours et a ainsi obtenu le 4e Prix au Concours
International de Sydney (2008), le 1er Prix au Concours Schubert de Dortmund (2007), et le 3e Prix au Concours International
Francis Poulenc, en France (2006). En 2011, il a gagné le Concours International Mendelssohn à Taurisano, Italie, et le Concours International "Città di Cantù". Depuis 2007, il a sorti plusieurs albums, notamment avec des oeuvres de Schubert et Chopin.
After studying at the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music with Hitoshi Kobayashi and Katsumi Ueda from
1999 to 2006, Takashi Sato went on to study with Arie Vardi at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hanover. He has given many
solo and chamber music recitals, with partners such as Masafumi Hori, Nobuko Yamazaki, Yuzuko Horigome, Ryoichi Fujimori, Shunske Sato, Kyoko Yonemoto and Mayuko Kamio, and has worked with various
orchestras, including the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra, Central-Aichi Symphony Orchestra, Tokyo Philharmonic, Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, Century Orchestra Osaka, Munich Chamber Orchestra, Dortmund Philharmonic Orchestra, Sydney Symphony and National Orchestra of Belgium. He has won prizes in many competitions, including Fourth Prize at the Sydney International Piano Competition (2008), First Prize at the Schubert Competition (Dortmund) (2007) and Third Prize at the Francis Poulenc International Piano Competition in France (2006). In 2011 he was awarded with the First Prize of the International Mendelssohn Piano Competition at Taurisano, Italy, and of the "Città di Cantù" International Piano Competition. Since his solo debut CD "La Campanella: Gems of the Keyboard" (Live Notes, 2007), Takashi has issued several recordings including Schubert album (Bella Musica, 2008) and Chopin albums (Live Notes, 2009) receiving much acclaim from the Japanese and German press.
