Mayu Kishima étudie le violon dans son pays natal, avec, entre autres, Toshiya Eto et Machie Oguri, avant de poursuivre sa formation auprès de Zakhar Bron à la Hochschule für Musik de Cologne. En 2001, elle se distingue au Wieniawski International Competition for Young Violinists, puis elle remporte les 1ers Prix aux concours internationaux de Patras (2003, Grèce) et Novosibirsk (2004, Russie). Elle s’est produite au Japon et dans différentes villes d’Europe, avec de nombreux orchestres comme les Philharmoniques du Japon et de Prague, le Hungarian National Philharmonic Orchestra, l’Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, le Symphonique de Londres et le Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks.

Mayu Kishima studeerde viool in haar vaderland bij onder anderen Toshiya Eto en Machie Oguri en zette haar opleiding verder bij Zakhar Bron aan de Hochschule für Musik van Keulen. In 2001 onderscheidde ze zich op de Wieniawskiwedstrijd en daarna won ze Eerste Prijzen op de internationale muziekwedstrijden van Patras (2003, Griekenland) en van Novosibirsk (2004, Rusland). Ze trad op in Japan en in verschillende Europese steden met talrijke orkesten, zoals de filharmonische orkesten van Japan en van Praag, het Hungarian National Philharmonic Orchestra, het Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, het London Symphony Orchestra en het Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks.

Mayu Kishima studied the violin in her homeland with, among others, Toshiya Eto and Machie Oguri, before undertaking further studies with Zakhar Bron at the Hochschule für Musik in Cologne. In 2001 she distinguished herself at the Wieniawski Competition for Young Violinists; she later won first prize at the Patras (2003, Greece) and Novosibirsk (2004, Russia) international competitions. She has performed in Japan and in a number of European cities and has appeared with various orchestras, including the Japan and Prague Philharmonics, the Hungarian National Philharmonic Orchestra, the Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, the London Symphony Orchestra, and the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks.
