Liebrecht Vanbeckevoort (Mechelen) studeerde bij Jan Michiels aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium van Brussel. Dankzij de steun van de Robus Stichting, Fontys, Fulbright en de Belgian American Educational Foundation vervolmaakte hij zich in Nederland bij Ton Demmers en Jan Wijn, in Duitsland bij Elisso Virssaladze en in de Verenigde Staten bij Menahem Pressler en Russell Sherman.
In België trad hij op tijdens festivals van gerenommeerde musici als Philippe Herreweghe en Walter Boeykens, het Festival van Vlaanderen en het Festival de Wallonie. In 2007 trad hij twaalf keer op tijdens de 'Night of the Proms' in Antwerpen, met Il Novecento o.l.v. Robert Groslot. Hij concerteerde in het Paleis voor Schone Kunsten, Flagey en De Munt in Brussel, de Singel en de Elisabethzaal in Antwerpen, de Bijloke en het Capitole in Gent, het Concertgebouw in Brugge en het Casino in Knokke. In het buitenland stond hij op vooraanstaande podia in ondermeer Luxemburg, Nederland, Ierland, Italië, Israël, Zwitserland, Zuid-Afrika, Canada en de Verenigde Staten.
Liebrecht werkte samen met dirigenten als Callegari, Deneckere, Fritzsch, González, Goodwin, Herreweghe, Judd, Levi, Matchavariani, Van den Broeck, Varga, Vermeulen, Willens en Zollman, begeleid door orkesten als het Collegium Instrumentale Brugense, het Den Haag Kamerorkest, arc-en-ciel, de Kölner Akademie, het European Union Chamber Orchestra, de Koninklijke Filharmonie van Vlaanderen, het Orchestre Royal de Chambre de Wallonie, het Vlaams Radio Orkest en het Nationaal Orkest van België in concerti van Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Schumann, Liszt, Tchaikovsky, Prokofiev en Rachmaninov.
Van hem verscheen in 2008 een solo-cd bij Phaedra Classics, gewijd aan Felix Mendelssohn, die door nationale en internationale pers zeer positief onthaald werd. In 2009 verscheen zijn tweede cd, gewijd aan Robert Schumann, bij Aliud Records. Hij nam Liszts twee piano concerti op met de Brussels Philharmonic en Enrique Mazzola.

Belgian pianist Liebrecht Vanbeckevoort studied with Jan Michiels at the Brussels Royal Conservatory. Thanks to the support of the Robus Foundation, Fontys, Fulbright and the Belgian American Educational Foundation, he has perfected himself with Ton Demmers and Jan Wijn in the Netherlands, with Elisso Virssaladze in Germany and with Menahem Pressler and Russel Sherman in the United States.
In Belgium Liebrecht Vanbeckevoort has performed at festivals organized by renowned musicians like Philippe Herreweghe and Walter Boeykens, and played during the Flanders Festival and the Festival of Wallonia. In 2007 he was the exclusive classical star at the Antwerp Night of the Proms, where he performed twelve times with Il Novecento conducted by Robert Groslot. He has given concerts in many of Belgium’s most prestigious venues: the Center for Fine Arts (Bozar), Flagey Concert Hall and La Monnaie in Brussels, the Singel and the Queen Elizabeth Concert Hall in Antwerp, the Capitole and the Bijloke Concert Hall in Ghent, the Concertgebouw in Bruges and the Casino in Knokke. Abroad, he has performed on prominent stages in among others Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Ireland, Italy, Israel, Switzerland, South-Africa, Canada and the United States.
Liebrecht Vanbeckevoort has worked with conductors such as Callegari, Deneckere, Fritzsch, González, Goodwin, Herrewhege, Judd, Levi, Matchavariani, Van den Broeck, Varga, Vermeulen, Willens and Zollman, accompanied by such orchestras as the Collegium Instrumentale Brugense, the Chamber Orchestra of The Hague, arc-en-ciel, the Kölner Akademie, the European Union Chamber Orchestra, the Royal Flemish Philharmonic, the Orchestre Royal de Chambre de Wallonie, the Flemish Radio Orchestra and the National Orchestra of Belgium in concertos by Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Schumann, Liszt, Tchaikovsky, Prokofieff and Rachmaninoff.
His first solo album, released by Phaedra Classics in 2008 and devoted to Felix Mendelssohn, was applauded both by the national and international press. In the autumn of 2009, his second album, dedicated to Robert Schumann, was released by Aliud Records. He has recorded both of Liszt's piano concertos with the Brussels Philharmonic and Enrique Mazzola.
